About The Brand: Ali in the Valley is a lifestyle blog about healthy, delicious food and simple lifestyle tips on how to be a great host or hostess…all while staying on a budget. I create simple recipes for the urban soul and live by my motto “home grown cooking – down to earth living!”

Ali in the Valley is about the everyday cook who needs a little inspiration with new recipes and how to execute them within minutes. I always strive to use the freshest ingredients and herbs and use organic products whenever possible.

My main reason for starting Ali in the Valley was to share my epicurean and lifestyle secrets with the people I love. I truly enjoy every aspect of entertaining and cooking…and I do it quite often. After visiting my home, friends and colleagues often ask me about my recipes or where I’ve bought something and I’m always eager to share! Over the years, I have collected an enormous amount of cookbooks and magazines filled with fabulous recipes and articles. All organized in binders and carefully labeled, these resources provide me unlimited inspiration to create my own takes on recipes and entertaining ideas from soups and salads to creative cocktails and backyard projects.

My hope is through my “in the moment” creations and inspirations I will encourage other to think about how they can incorporate some home grown cooking and down to earth living in their own lives.
