Benteke looked sharp on his first outing and came close on a few occasions, but it was a Scott Dann *BLAST* that hit Robertson that broke the deadlock on 25 minutes, before Wickham netted 90 seconds after replacing Benteke. In a game which saw both sides have great opportunities, Tottenham edged Palace after Victor Wanyama’s header eight minutes from time. This was enough for Spurs to condemn the Eagles to defeat at White Hart Lane. A game which saw better passing and crossing from the team insured a tight game, where a draw would have been a fair result.
