4 AUG 2012 · 'Do you sometimes lose confidence in the face of challenges or lack it to ACT toward a desired goal?' This weeks message & reminds us of some basic ideas and truths when it comes to 'cultivating confidence not only in ourselves but in the God that created us'. Things happen. And sometimes we have to take our minds off auto pilot and 'choose'.....make a decision......or take action. We often hesitate due to a lack of confidence. That lack of confidence usually stems from a 'fear'. A fear that we ourselves aren't good enough, strong enough, attractive enough, smart enough, skilled or talented enough and rich enough.....or that the power of God we profess to believe loves, sustains, helps, supports, cares, guides, protects, defends, provides and demonstrates for us.....will actually come through for us......again. How do I develope confidence? What is real confidence? Where should my confidence be anchored and begin? Is self confidence bad and egotistical? Is confidence in God/Source really a lack of confidence in myself? Think about it....how many times have you and I really wanted something and then just gave up do to lack of confidence? If you often find yourself a shrinking back or feeling a lack in your self esteem to move forward & sustaining success in your life then this is for you. Jot Down the first thing that comes to mind as to why you lack confidence in that area and what fear has taken root in your life? Next to each one...jot down two thngs you would do to change that if you had the confidence. CLOSE YOUR EYES, VISUALIZE AND FEEL YOURSELF ACCOMPLISHING THEM WITH 'CONFIDENCE'. THEN MAKE UP YOUR 'MIND' TO STEP AND TRY TODAY......RIGHT NOW!!! ***NOTE: The Easiest way for me is to think about something 'small' to start with. To do or start saying something to myself I was afraid to confess and affirm!!! Based on what you've learned and been reminded of here.... ARE YOU AWARE OF THE GOD-GIVEN POWER TO THINK, CHOOSE, SPEAK, FEEL & ACT IN FAITH WITHIN YOU when it comes to consciously 'counting the cost of your good so that you can be ready to pay the price' with God each day so that He and His love can flow through you in an 'easier' way for and towards your greater good? Jot down the intention to 'let it be so' in your journal and then ask God for the strength, patience and love put it into conscious loving practice with acceptance. Amen.
