The Cynics preview the Scottish Cup and Champions League Finals. We talk lineups, tactics and predictions for Celtic vs. Hibernian and Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich. Podcast 164 Paul Byrne This week we continue with our Ex-Player series when we catch up with Paul Byrne who played for Celtic from 1993 to 1995. We talk about the atmosphere among the players during this most turbulent time for the Club and we discuss Paul’s experiences playing under Brady, Connor, Macari and Tommy Burns. Be warned, we also look back to the darkest of days and the Coca-Cola Cup final defeat but we soon lift the gloom by reminiscing about scoring screamers against Oldco. Paul chats about what “might have been” had things been a little bit different in his career and he speaks frankly about missing out on the World Cup of 1994 and his disappointments at leaving Celtic without a winners medal in his hip pocket. Remember we are collecting audio clips from supporters for our forthcoming summer project charting the history of Celtic from a fans perspective. You can email your clips to lostbhoys@gmail.com to be included in the series of 10 shows coming soon. Listen to the end of this week’s podcast for all the details.
In this episode Joe is pished, but he's joined by Paul, Harper and Jason. It's a cup final special. You should have called in. Enjoy.
The SPL season came to a close at Tannadice, as Celtic faced Jackie McNamara's Dundee United one last time. Could Celtic end their poor run of away form ahead of the Scottish Cup final, or would Dundee United take revenge for the semi final defeat at Hampden? KK was in among the party atmosphere.

Please support them if you can. http://www.hailhailmedia.com/a-grand-old-team-to-see-with-the-kano-foundation/
Host Vincent treated a Tic Talk panel to "extra chocolate digestives" as they careered along a motorway of topics including... > Reviewing the St.Johnstone game > Previewing the Dundee Utd and SC Final games > Chatting about the latest hot topics > and the #Shambolic section had the bhoys argue over which Celtic manager was the best football player
in this episode the Old Brigade are back together. Joe, Harper, Jason and Paul discuss Harper's debut at Celtic Park with Football Aid and of course we tangent off in many directions. Enjoy!
Party time at Celtic Park as the SPL trophy presentation was scheduled to take place following the final home league match of the season against St Johnstone. But with the Saints having gone three matches undefeated against Celtic in the league, there was one final score to settle first. KK was there throughout to capture all the action from the game and the presentation.
Host Chris Gallagher is joined by regular Cynics Kevin Gillespie, Louis McCaffrey and manning the Ps and Qs is Bryan McManus. The Cynics discuss Ferguson's retirement, Moyes appointment and if Lennon will be in the frame for the Everton job. We also look at Celtic recent form and discuss our favourite Petrov memories. Music from House of Pain amongst others.
Today we reviewed the sparkling performance from the bhoys as they lifted the trophy for the 44th honest time. We also look ahead to the Cup final and explore what it means to win titles and how important it is. We also wonder what it's like to be Paul Slane, compare shaving habits and obsolete stadia. Don't ask, just listen. HH & KTF
This week we catch up with Stuart McDonnell from the “Celtic Shirt” website and we look back on some of the famous shirts in Celtic’s past history as well as discussing the ever growing hobby of shirt collecting. Stuart tells us about some of the more famous shirts in his collection as well as explaining what it’s like to be a trainspotter in the world of memorabilia. Listen to the end of the podcast to find out how YOU can join in with a future LostBhoys Podcast project. Contact us at lostbhoys@gmail.com As discussed on this weeks HomeBhoys show Jason and the Bhoys outlined the great work that is being done by the Kano Foundation in bringing (mainly under privileged) kids to Celtic Park. The Kano Foundation has been going strong for the last 3 years but is finding it increasingly difficult to raise much needed funds to enable this unique organisation in British Football to flourish. There is no other fan initiative in the UK and Ireland in which the fans themselves pay for the kids who otherwise may never get the chance to see their heroes play football. As a collective the Celtic support can achieve things like no other fanbase in the world and we have shown this countless times. Below there are several ways in which you can become an integral part of the Kano Foundation going forward and you can leave your legacy in our future fans hearts. Please find details on how you can make your own personal contribution to this fantastic charitable organisation: - Set up a monthly recurring payment for £1 (if we achieve a THOUSAND fans donating £1 per month we reach our target) This can be done by contacting your bank and setting up a Standing Order for £1 per month (on a set date) to be paid to the Kano Foundation (Sort Code 30-13-01, Account Number 00989961, Ref YOUR NAME) Alternatively… - Make a one off annual payment for £10 This can be done by following the PayPal instructions on the Kano Foundation Website - http://www.thekanofoundation.com/index.php - Fully fund £50 payment of one Child Ticket for Season 2013/14 Please get in touch with the Kano Foundation directly to organise this – contactus@thekanofoundation.com Also as we discussed on Monday’s show, For it’s a GRAND old team to see. We are looking for 1000 fans to donate £1 a month (more if you feel you can) and this over a year would fund the Kano Foundation all of next season.
Celtic travelled to the far north of Scotland for the third time this season to take on Ross County. Having drawn the first and lost the second, would it be third time lucky for Celtic in Dingwall or would County once again foil Lennon's men and continue the recent poor run of away form. KK made the long trip north to find out.
Today we wrapped up the game vs Ross County and are left with more questions than answers. We still managed to have some fun and took some insightful calls from the Parrot and Tony Cassidy. Hail Hail and Keep the Faith!
Stand-in Host Chris Boud is joined by regular Cynics Kevin Gillespie and Bryan McManus. Making his debut on the show is 90 Minute Cynic staff writer Chris Sermanni. The Cynics discuss Celtic's recent form and what youth players deserve an opportunity to shine before the end of the season. They look over the Champions League semi final results and discuss the English Premier League. Question 1 – Which Celtic player youth/fringe would you like to see most of now the league is won? Question 2 - Favourite non-Celtic Cup victory Music from Daft Punk amongst others.
Kev, Josh & Pat host the latest show and we are joined by Jim Blyth and later in the show by Kraljski. We talk about the the Premier League win in 1986, football tournaments in Alloa, the latest Celtic Graves tribute, selling alcohol at Celtic Park while Kev talks complete pish about his 'helicopter bevvy man' idea. We complete the show by predicting the scoreline for the game against Ross County overmorrow (honest guv', it's a real word).
Host Chris Gallagher is joined by regular Cynics Kevin Gillespie and Chris Boud with Bryan McManus manning the P’s and Q’s. The Cynics discuss the drama and excitement of the Champions League semi finals first legs and they ask which of Celtic's players should have been nominated for Player of the Year. Music has a hip hop theme with Wu tang, the Fresh Prince and more.
The newly crowned champions of Scotland were off to Fir Park for the third time this season on league duty. With Motherwell still looking to secure second spot, could they make it back to back wins over Celtic or would the champions avenge the 2-1 defeat on their last visit to Lanarkshire? KK was there to report on all the action.
After a 2 week hiatus the HomeBhoys were back with a busy show. Jason, Harper and Paul chewed the fat over the disappointing performance against Motherwell before getting into talking about fundraising for the fantastic Kano Foundation. We were then joined on the line by Seamus Connolly who is part of the @stepschallenge team who will be raising money for charity by running up all the steps inside Celtic Park. We were then joined by the Celtic Trusts Jeanette Findlay who came on to talk about Police budget figures and FAC updates. Soon after that all the way from Canada Tam Donnelly of the NAFCSC joined us to tell a few tales about his time in Ipox on crutches and getting banned from the cubs...LOL Last but not least the one and only Parrot came in with some cash and carry patter to wrap things up. HH
