WSG is an effort by a group of students seeking Guidance and Islamic knowledge to provide a platform for people from all walks of life to understand the basics of Islam. "Basics" on which the Quran was sent down and "basics" which unite all of us to the one tradition that Our Beloved Prophet sw brought to us.

About the speaker:
Arsalan Ahmed currently teaches courses on Islamic Studies, Economics, Islamic Commercial Law, and Islamic Banking. He completed his post-graduate studies in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, UK. Prior to this, he received his BSc and MSc degrees from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where he studied Economics, Management, Islamic Finance, Islamic Jurisprudence and Philosophy.

He started studying the Classical 'Uloom of Deen in 2008 under traditional scholars and is currently in the final year of Dars-e-Nizami 'Alimiyah degree. For a number of years, Arsalan Ahmed has consistently remained in the close company of Shaykh Mufti Kamaluddin Ahmed and has learned the science of Tazkiyah under his guidance. Arsalan Ahmed holds weekly spiritual gatherings at various venues and delivers academic and motivational lectures on various topics of Islam.
