Steve has a golf scramble coming up on September 24th at Valley View Golf Curse in Floyd's Knobs and we had him on to talk about it. We had not heard of any political candidate using golf to raise funds before and thought it would be cool to have him on. It is a fun hour of Golf Talk Radio. You really should listen.

9 JUN 2021 · The Guys were in Noblesville, Indiana on Sunday to participate in a tournament from the Capital Golf Charity Golf Tour. Purgatory is the name of the course. Well named! It was tough. We like to say, "tough but fair". But, no, not this time. we had a great time. Thanks to Terry Edwards and the gang. We will be doing another one later on this summer. Thanks guys. 27 MAY 2021 · We are live from Woodhaven Country Club in Louisville with 2 guests. The first is Terry Edwards from Capitol Golf Tour. This is a series of amateur events held at some of the best golf course throughout the Midwest. No matter how great the course (and they play some top “bucket list” courses like The Brickyard in Indianapolis, Firestone CC in Akron, the Pete Dye and the Donald Ross courses at French Lick, to name only a few. The cost to play in the tournament is just $70 per day. Most are 1 day events. Then we talk to Shawn Summerville from 3AGA, The African-American Amateur Golf Association. It is a new organization started here in Louisville to expand golf into communities that have not been exposed much to the game. Membership is open to everyone, all races, creeds, and handicaps!

27 MAY 2021 · John Ashton on the air live from Valley View Golf Course in Floyd’s Knobs Indiana. This is the first episode without long time, intrepid producer, Mark who was in the hospital with some very serious problems. It was the third consecutive Sunday that it rained in the Kentuckiana Area so we discussed (John and fill-in producer Tim) how badly mud can effect the flight of a ball and how that effect can be determined prior to making the shot. In other words, how can you plan for stuff sticking to your ball?

27 MAY 2021 · With Matt Kirchgessner, owner and GM at Elk Run Golf Club in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In December of 2020 there was a tragedy in Panama City Beach Florida. A truck ran into a Putt Putt course, killing 2 children. Those children were the Kirchgessner kids. Rather than running and hiding in a deep hole (as many parents faced with that situation would) Matt and his wife started a foundation to keep the memory of their children alive and to help others throughout the community. This is the saddest story you will hear this year but with the happiest ending.

27 MAY 2021 · With JoAnn Orr from Sickle Cell Society. This is the only fundraiser available to the Society this year because of the Covid-19 restrictions so we told her she could have the whole hour to help get more folks out
