2 FEB 2019 · The Two Five Ones are a jazz duo formed in 2016. Consisting of Dara MacGabhann vocals and Andy Hogg guitar & vocals, both of whom have enjoyed successful musical careers prior to their partnership. The Two Five One’s shows are packed with jazz and blues classics from the 1920s through to the 1950s and beyond and even feature some original compositions of the same genre. Their debut album ‘Sentimental Journey’ is a mix of Jazz and blues standards and original compositions, which also manages to incorporate a touch of Swing. The album focuses on highlighting the simplicity of just vocals and guitar. 4 DEC 2018 · Today I present my quick walkabout at Belturbet CHRISTMAS MARKET . This inaugural event was organized by PROJECT BELTURBET, a group which got together in response to what appears to be a downgrading of the Town (if there is such a thing). The weather was unusually clement and the Market was a great success in my opinion. I saw lots of happy faces and chatted with some of the Stallholders. It’s a just over 20 minute broadcast/podcast so grab yourself a cuppa, put the tired feet up and relax. Thank You

JEAN REINHARDT is a wonderful engaging Lady who is way too unassuming and modest. She talks here in the first part of the podcast about her deceased Dad who developed a Lung disease after a single exposure to ASBESTOS . Recently, I was fortunate to have the (journo) recorder in my pocket when I bumped into RUAIRI DEVLIN the founder of the Irish MICRO BUSINESS AWARDS. @ https://www.facebook.com/microbusinessawards/ (Website coming soon) Jacqueline, our treasured Librarian, tells us what's on in the Library and you get to hear PAUL McCANN belt out his "Keep the Devil Within" song. Paul, a Belturbet man and multi talented musician, is now working his way into mainstream media. There was a big write up about him in the "Celt" and he's getting good reviews for his new Album on social media. I've also heard him on Northern Sound. I'm proud to say I had him on my show almost 2 years ago. There's also an invitation to an ALPHA COURSE which will be starting in NEWTOWNGORE next week and some other snippets.
