    Our adventures and travels can be view with three perspectives:
1. Excited anticipation and preparation with the upcoming experience(s)
2. Fully enjoying and maximizing the moments of "Now" by savoring the experiences as they occur; unencumbered by the baggage of animosity, disappointment, "should have" or "could have".
3. Fond reflection of the memories of our travel/adventure


By improving our day-to-day language, we greatly enhance all 3 components of our life experiences ... whether they were planned or impromptu. When we understand NOOT (the "Natural Order Of Things") we give up battling reality and learn to work with it or around it as "Resistance is Futile". Empathy followed by wise boundaries with consequences are key to freeing ourselves to fully enjoy people, places and experiences.


I'm an avid adventurer and seasoned expert problem solver who has canoed 54 days from Pittsburgh to New Orleans ...  climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in 10 days …  managed a $100 million a year manufacturing business & operated a nuclear-powered submarine as a Naval Officer (up to 72 days continuously submerged).


I have discovered that many words have self-fulfilling prophecies woven within them that can create either a Heaven or Hell on Earth for us. Use of improved language can be the difference between success and failure, conflict and harmony, enjoyment or suffering. There is a significant difference in our behavior toward another with seeing them as "unfriendly" as opposed to being "afraid" or "insecure" ... we tend to be far more empathetic, kind, respectful and effective in our communications with the later.

Improve our language ---> improved thinking ---> improved perception of people & the world---> empowered, wise responses, & decisions ---> long term desirable outcomes/results with less suffering, conflict, & despair and more peace of mind.

    I do believe if we improve our language, we improve the way we think and consequently alter our perceptions of the world around us ... including our past experiences. The result can be better responses and decisions with today's and tomorrow's circumstances. Likewise, we are far more capable of making effective and sustainable plans for the future. My book "Journey Into Peace ... A Language for Peace, Progress, & Healing" is about how to:
Make peace with the past, meaningful progress in the future, and live today free of guilt or resentment. It is about a way of living I call "Betterism".

Our current language is seriously flawed. Useless words like "forgiveness" and "patience" take us nowhere ... dangerous labels like "unfriendly" or "success" can become toxic and derail us. With new words within a new language, we can improve our relationships and solve important problems. This new language avoids "useless" and "dangerous" words and uses "wise empowering" language and "states of being" to guide us forward on a healthy trajectory.
