Leslie is joined in this hour by the Vice President of the United Steelworkers Union (USW) Fred Redmond. They discuss the Trump commission on voter fraud, which is led by Vice President Pence. As Fred points out, the group has been formed more for means of voter suppression than actual investigations into fraudulent voting.

This investigation found its roots in the November 2016 election when then President-elect Trump went on a Twitter rampage about losing the popular vote. This, despite winning the election through the electoral college. He claimed he would have won the popular vote too if not for "the millions of people who voted illegally."

But the fact is that these “millions of people who voted illegally” don’t exist. It never happened. State and local election officials, and nonpartisan groups like the Brennan Center for Justice, have not found any evidence to support the claims, and the Trump administration has only provided some shady math and debunked studies to back up its claims.
