Good morning, East Central Florida! It's time for your coastal waters forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne. I'm here to keep you all updated on what's brewing out there on the waters.

Now, listen up, folks! Today, we've got a cold front making its way towards us, bringing along some rough conditions for boating, especially near the inlets. So, if you're planning a day out on the water, make sure to hang tight and stay safe.

For Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line within 20 nautical miles, we're looking at a Small Craft Advisory in effect until late morning. South winds shifting to southeast, with seas ranging from 5 to 7 feet. There's even a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.

Tonight, expect south winds calming down and shifting to southwest. Seas will decrease to 3 to 5 feet. Keep an eye out for a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Now, as we head into Thursday, hold onto your hats because we're looking at northwest winds picking up speed, reaching 15 to 20 knots. Seas building back up to 4 to 6 feet, maybe even reaching 7 feet in the afternoon. Showers likely in the morning, too!

So, for all you boaters and sea enthusiasts, be sure to plan accordingly as conditions will be a bit choppy out there. Remember, safety first!
