Author Professor Todd Murphy is a member of Laurentian University's Neuroscience research program, a leader in studies on the meeting of science and religion. Professor Murphy has also published on the anthropology of spiritual experiences and the evolution of mysticism in human history. His studies in the neuroscience of spirituality began in 1985. In 1998, his work began to be published in academic journals. Murphy is also the author of “Sacred Pathways: The Brain’s role in Religious and Mystic Experiences.”, with forewords by His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, and Dr. Michael Persinger. Professor Todd Murphy has published in the Journal for Near-Death Studies, Psychology Reports, Activitas Nervosa Superior, and the journal Neuroquantology.
