Robert Lamar has been studying the art of magic for nearly 40 years. In 1991, Robert turned his passion into a full-time career. Turning his attention to mentalism and hypnosis in 1996, Robert was spurred on by his friend and mentor of thirty years, the Australian hypnotist, Peter Reveen. What he ended up creating was a performance entitled, "Theatre of the MIND." Now, after a seven year self-induced hiatus from the stage so that he could stay home with his two children, Robert has been working for the past few months with his team to get back to performing on a full-time basis commencing in January 2010. Because of Robert's knowledge and skills as a magician he was commissioned in 2002 to create a number of educational programs which have been presented to literally hundreds of schools over the past several years: MATHEMAGICS showed children some of the fun things that can be performed with mathematical equations and concepts while Science is MAGIC showed just how exciting physics and chemistry can actually be. His new educational project, SkepTricks, is designed to help teach and/or enhance one's critical thinking skills by showing people how to think and problem solve like a magician. - www.RobertLAMAR.ca and www.SkepTricks.com
