He started his career as a Teacher and Counselor before joining Ontario Hydro prior to it being re-organized, where he gained varied HR experience as Staffing Specialist, Labour Relations Officer, Manager of Organization Analysis and Job Evaluation, Project Manager-HR Planning and Integration, Acting Manager-Corporate Staffing, Manager Compensation, and Manager Corporate Compensation and Benefits Services. He has also been Director, Compensation and Benefits for Rogers Communications Inc. In 1988, Ken was seconded for 2 years by the Ontario Government to serve as Director of Policy and Research for the Ontario Pay Equity Commission.
