Learning to Prophesy

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:1-6, Numbers 11:29, Joel 2:28-29,
Acts 2:16-18
Even though prophecies, tongues and knowledge will cease in the next age, continue to desire them in this age.
All Christians can prophesy.
Edify—the act of building
Exhort—urge one to use some course of conduct
Comfort—encouragement
Learning to Prophesy
Learn the character of God.
Learn the voice of God.
Learn the voice of your flesh.
Learn to submit to a community of believers.
Learn to recognize what God is doing in a service.
Learn to ask whether that word is meant just for you.
Learn when to stop.
Learn to be very careful about directive prophecies.
