While working as a gas controller in corporate America for TransCanada in Houston he discovered that corporate America wasn’t sustainable for him long term and he wanted to start his own business. Seeing the inner workings of a large corporation gave him the impetus to start his own e-commerce focused business. Along with two partners they narrowed down their product list and settled on kettlebells. At the time it wasn’t a known space but was a growing market. He desired to build kettlebells as the centerpiece of a health and wellness community. Then started the first BIPOC owned Kettlebell company, “Kettlebell Kings” which is like the ESPN of the kettlebell world. A place to foster a community of people using kettlebells as the centerpiece of fitness. Take everyone's content alongside their uniquely created content and display it in a way that's easy for people to consume and feel part of a community.
In business he can be as competitive as he wants and not worry like he did on the sports field, when he was at Rice University.
