I hope you are basking in the sweetness of this full moon energy. She feels gentle and affirming to my system - softly, sweetly loving Us right where we are.

It’s a beautiful thing.

So much is being dissolved right now. Non-Essential parts being stripped and melted away while tender, fresh elements of Being are growing themselves more sturdy and solid.

I am being Made New in every moment. I have no idea who I will be tomorrow - let alone next week or next year.

Letting go of so many things I thought I was. Questioning the pieces of identity that have become so familiar, I didn’t even notice they were there…

Until they weren’t anymore.

It is a vulnerable and curious time.

I spoke about it last week on the show as I burned my own house down once again.

It felt good. Liberating. Had to be done.

Calling myself out on the places I’d been drinking my own Kool-Aid as an invitation to others to do the same.

Opening a door for Us to meet as Pure Souls - outside the constructs that have defined us.

But… as it turns out, Our egos had other plans.

After the show, mine started congratulating me on a Job Well Done.

An old friend’s ego whispered in her ear that she was Better Than Jody and her OBVIOUSLY misguided past shows (and sent me a “love” note to celebrate my “return.”)

Some of my students went into deep questioning about why they had been drinking my Kool-Aid - which I had just said - is a Very Bad Idea.

And some dear listeners who resonated with the message brought their egos to the party to high five me for FINALLY getting what they have already known for ages.

Then MY ego went into fight. And retreat. And defense. And defeat.

(It’s OK. Really.)

That’s what egos DO.

We ALL have them. And we all have shame about them - whether consciously or subconsciously.

And it’s time we start talking about them. Openly.

With so much love and compassion and willingness to be with them in all the ways they show up and all the ways that they run our lives.

No one has to be right OR wrong.

It just IS.

Every time I challenge and stretch, confront and caress, study and surrender to my ego, I make room for more Soul.

Soul + Ego = Wholeness.

THIS is the game we are playing. There is no way to “get rid of” your ego. The part of you that would have you try to do that is actually your ego.

And subscribing to the belief that talking about ego means you have to fix something or be wrong all the time… Also Ego.

The simple Truth is: the trickiest part of this human walk is learning this Soul/Ego two step.

It’s not about transcending your ego, rising above it or outgrowing it. It is about inviting your Wild Soul all the way down and in with it.

On Wild Soul Medicine Radio today I’m leading a guided tour of this uniquely human construct.

We are pressing the edges, shining a light, and offering courageous hearts to Our epic exploration.

It’s a little like going to the dentist… Nobody wants to do it, but it’s gotta be done.

I’ll meet you there.

Toes in the mud. Moon on my face.
