European politics grew up with this religion and they influenced each other usually for the worst. And now here we are wondering why we can't get a clear read on something when our culture is based on an Empire and Imperial views on how people should act. Few of the conservative strains of Protestantism have people who understand that their interpretations of the texts are still dogmatic, despite not being attached to Catholicism.
