My guest will be Bo Cable of the Generous Garden Project in South Carolina.  We will be talking about community gardens; how they get started and who they serve.  There are so many gardens starting around the country but only a select few have the goal of serving people in need with healthy food.  It is great to grow an organic food line but if the people who would greatly benefit from that food cannot purchase it, then what is the humanitarian purpose.  The goal of this project is to not only provide food but also to share the process for others to grow and provide food.  A true spider web is evolving.  Have land that is available for growing, farm supplies you can donate, or a need to help others, this is the show to find out how to put it all together.  "The Generous Garden Project is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 to fill a need for fresh produce in order to provide a healthy alternative to boxed and canned foods to the hungry.  At the Garden, we not only want to provide food, but also education to those who want to learn organic gardening techniques and the importance of healthy eating.  Part of our mission is to fight hunger by growing, gleaning, harvesting and donating fresh fruits and vegetables in the Greenville, South Carolina area.  We provide locally grown produce to food banks, shelters, nonprofit agencies and financially struggling families, using largely organic methods.  We also empower individuals, organizations and communities by educating them on how to grow their own fresh produce in a sustainable way."  www.GenerousGarden.org.
