This proved to be an enormous revenue producing industry, not only for the company that grow and distribute marijuana, but also for the state that collect more than $1 billion in taxes overall. So the enormous economic possibilities reached entrepreneurs who profit, it created new jobs in the market, and it allowed the state benefit from previously untapped revenues.
