Tanitiã Munroe is a Child and Youth Worker at the Toronto District School Board as well as a PhD Candidate at OISE/UT, where she is researching Black students’ and families' experience navigating K-12 education.

Currently, Tanitiã works in the Caring and Safe Schools program at TDSB, a program that supports students who have been suspended and expelled from their home schools. Tanitiã talks to us about the realities, the frustrations and the challenges of working through a system that needs to be doing much better for ALL students.
