Greetings my name is Space X, I am sending you this message because I care about you, because I want the best for you, because you are somebody important, and I am just like you.
I want you to know you're not alone, and that other people struggle with the same thoughts, depression, and mental issues that you deal with.
I hope some of these methods can help others who are dealing with these same issues.
The trick is to try to alter your mood, to push out the negative thoughts, and try to fill your head with positivity, it's very hard to do, it takes work, but remember, even small, or gradual progress can sometimes help.
This a brief list of what helps me. what helps to pull me off the edge when life seems unbearable.
Some things that help me deal with my depression are, Listening to upbeat music, talking to my friends, or talking to hotlines.
I try to Avoid alcoholic drinks when I'm depressed, because alcohol is a depressant. I do the same for my anxiety, because I know that sometimes drinking can make people anxious.
I also try to make sure I get good night sleep. If I can't sleep at night, I try to take naps during the day, especially when feeling suicidal, sleeping or getting rest can help.
I definitely try to avoid self medicating with drugs that are not prescribed to me, much like alcohol, many pharmaceuticals can have an adverse effect.
Sometimes, leaving a situation to calm down, is recommended, if I'm upset about something or depressed, getting away from the cause is the best thing to do when possible.
I also try to take measures to avoid conflicts that might arise on days my depression is bad, because drama makes it worse.
Hanging out with positive people can help ease the symptoms of depression, joining a support group being able to talk with others who are feeling the same as you. This is especially good, because it can help you, as well as other members of the group.
If you need help please try these methods of coping, and always remember Operation Stop Suicide is there to help you any time for any reason. Creating a better, brighter world, begins with us all loving, and caring for ourselves and each other.
