Brooke is asking for help to save her sister, Alyssa’s life. When Alyssa was 15, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called polyglandular autoimmune disorder type one. This autoimmune disorder contains multiple things such as Addison’s disease, ovarian failure, hypoparathyroidism, and hypothyroidism. When Alyssa was first diagnosed she almost lost her life... We thought it was her nerve and she had multiple root canals. When Alyssa was finally diagnosed with her autoimmune disorder, her calcium was so low the doctor came in looking for a dead body... after she was diagnosed, Alyssa went through so many different trials such as almost losing her life multiple times due to trying to figure out her medication, stress, and a doctor overdosing her on medication trying to help her.  Ever since then, Alyssa has battled with keeping her body healthy ever since that day.  Everything was going good until Alyssa started showing signs of being intoxicated but she wasn’t drinking.

As time went on, Alyssa’s symptoms became stronger. To the point that Alyssa was sleeping all the time. When she would wake, she would be inebriated. it got to the point in Alyssa’s health where we didn’t know what was going on. We didn’t know if she was going to wake up in the morning when she would go to sleep. There were multiple times when I have come into Alyssa’s room to find her lips blue and her face pale. I remember going over to her side and having to rub her chest to make sure she was alive.Last year, Alyssa was diagnosed with auto-brewery syndrome. Alyssa’s doctors have attempted to treat it with multiple different medications, but have yet to have much luck. Alyssa’s doctors are now recommending more aggressive medications to help her. Alyssa is most likely going to have to travel to the Mayo Clinic, or to another doctor in New York to get this treatment.
