Most people stay away from certain aspects of their lives that make them feel uncomfortable, whether it is a dental appointment, dinner with the nagging in-laws, or the stack of bills that has been piling up in the drawer. Yet, there are four things you should no longer avoid if you want to gain more confidence and self-worth, which are change, conflict, emotions, and yourself. While the avoidance of change lets you get stuck in your comfort zone, staying away from conflict prevents you from having a voice, advocating for yourself, or setting boundaries. Ignoring your emotions makes you go through life without inner guidance, and avoiding yourself, in the end, leads you to never feel at home and at ease with who you are.
