This week we have a special interview from Being Libertarian's Lance Cayko speaking with newly elected NYC City Council member [NYC Education Council D75], and Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party in Staten Island, Debra Altman. Her victory wouldn't have been possible without efforts from Larry Sharpe and others who broke through the ballot box barriers of entry for LP candidates.

In the interview she shares her initial struggles with city permits for small business and also ultimately what got her elected to the education council; her intimate knowledge of the NYC education system has inspired other families and parents of children with special needs to drastically change the bureaucracy of the education system and bring hidden benefits and workarounds to these families who deeply need health that the state is unwilling to make readily available.
