February 1st 1968 started out like any other for two fishermen at Alton Lake, St Charles County, Missouri. The pair spotted a black suitcase that was floating about 12 feet from the bank, which is located near the south end of the Lewis and Clarke Bridge, just of US Highway 67. They probably thought they might find some hidden gems or merely some rubbish that someone had wanted to dispose of. What they found, was not a hidden gem nor rubbish, it was the body of a toddler who would come to be known the West Alton Jane Doe.

The mystery would span over 51 years without so much as a clue as to the identity of The West Alton Jane Doe or her killer. As the unsolved case continues into its 52nd year, will 2020 finally bring investigators and the local community the answers it has been praying for over half a century?
