It's finally opening night for the NHL, and the Bolts hit the ice against pesky division foe the Florida Panthers for a Home & Home series. The Lightning played very well in Game 1 of the season, as the offseason additions like Pat Maroon and Kevin Shattenkirk did not hesitate to make their first impressions on Bolts fans.

The Bolts played a decent game in Game 2 against those same Florida Panthers, but came up short 4-3, thanks to a strong effort by Sergei Bobrovsky in net, and a Hat Trick by Mike Hoffman.

The Bolts continue their road trip against Carolina, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Boston, in a scheduling anomaly.
