The Blackcaps have withdrawn from their 2021 tour to Pakistan on the day of the 1st game due to security concerns.
Jacinda Arden and the New Zealand government made the call after security intel meant that there was a rise in the security threat level. The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) have gone out of their way and put in immense security measures to help bring International cricket to the Pakistan people and the last minute withdrawal is difficult of for them to take.

Imran Khan spoke with Arden about the issues but the only option for the NZ government was with withdrawn its players.

The Blackcaps were due to play in Pakistan for the first time since 2003 when a Chris Cairns led a blackcaps team to a 5-0 defeat.
