Great Gardening for Healthy Homeschoolers

God does care what we eat and Eating properly glorifies him.  God’s word contains no shortage of talking about food.  The Bible also tells us our body is a temple and we are to treat it as such.  What is just as important is teaching our children how to eat properly in a way that glorifies God.  And teaching our children properly is why we homeschool. Today’s guest is Leah Brooks of Jeremiah Gardens and she is going to talk to us about a biblical way of eating and what God tells us about gardening.

Leah Brooks is a health care professional, loving wife, small business owner, and homeschooling mother of two. For 12 years, she has owned and moderated support groups for homeschooling families and for families with special needs children.

Thirteen years ago, she and her husband, Stephen, were blessed with the birth of a medically fragile child. Nine surgeries and nine seizure medications later, they began to look beyond traditional medicine to help their child.

Leah now educates and encourages people to take control of their own health by rejecting supermarket foods and trendy, non-biblical fads, and focusing on the Lord’s wisdom as revealed in the Bible. She and her husband, Steve, firmly believe that no matter what your weight, age, income, or physical fitness level, you will be blessed with health and energy by following these inexpensive principles.
