Mercedes Rice and I had a really heart-warming conversation around the multiple identities we can have within ourselves. From being a Professional Ballerina, to studying Modern Dance at the University of Utah, and then most recently recognizing her deep passion of offering Tarot Readings to clients. She enjoys helping her clients find their spark and to witness their own divinity within their own journey. How movement and making decisions based off of what our body feels or is saying and really implementing this as a daily practice into life. Mercedes is currently working at Golden Braid Books offering Tarot Readings and Starks Funeral Home as a server. I love hearing her process of transitioning from being a very structured dancer to more free flowing movement and how Mercedes will first identify and always identify as a dancer. She has a truly wise approach to leaving the Ballet World and I admire her daily practice of growing and still connecting to movement. Mercedes speaks so gently to her whole self in ways I believe we can all let sink in and maybe even add to our individual self-care practices.
