NFL -
Covid -
An email was sent to all the team presidents and executives that confirm that
Covid hit the Tennessee Titans organization. The Vikings, who played the Titans last sunday, have not had any positive tests come back and they WILL play their week 4 game against the Texans as planned. 5 Players total have come back with Positive Covid Tests so far. In addition to 5 non-player staff members that brings the total “so far” to 10 personnel from the Titans organization. They have gotten a chance to use the contact tracing data to identify any close contact of the player and staff who tested positive and have in turn isolated those individuals, with those individuals receiving additional testing before they are allowed to rejoin the team.
The NFL has been in communication with the game officials and other who worked sunday's game in Minnesota and they will also be doing follow up testing before returning to work. There have been NO positive tests or reports of symptoms among the Minnisota players or staff.
There has been no information to this point as to who popped positive from the Titans organization. They are definitely playing it close to the chest. The schedule game has been postponed to what would have been their bye week. (Update, Titans placed WRs Adam Humphries and Cameron Baston on the Covid 19 Reserve List.
It’s designated as reserve/COVID-19, and it’s specifically for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in “close contact with infected person or persons.” Teams cannot disclose if players tested positive or not. Only players can reveal if they’ve had a positive test. A players return is subject to medical clearance and may be activated from the list when they are healthy.
Broncos/ Jets Game -
Nick Fangio, Head Coach of the Denver Broncos directed his team to go straight to the locker room because he was pissed at all the late game penalties by the Jets. When the Jets Head coach was asked, he seemed to recognize why Fangio was rushing his team off the field. He said, “I think he was just making sure we didn't have any kind of melee, it was getting kind of heated on the field”. The Jets committed 11 penalties for 118 yards in the game, but the biggest penalty was a facemask 3rd down sack late in the fourth quarter that kept alive a drive that saw Denver take the lead with a Brandon McManus field goal.

Sam Darnald -
Speaking of Jets, QB Sam Darnold suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder during Thursday Nights game. While they have not said how much time he will miss, they will want to make sure he is healthy before he steps onto the field again. Do you think Darnold is injury prone? How many games has he actually played in since coming to the NFL. Since coming to the NFL he has not completed any FULL season. With 2018 and 2019 playing 13 out of the 16 games scheduled and 4 this year. I like rooting for the USC Native, but this is definitely not the way anyone saw his NFL career starting. GRANTED… he IS on the JETS.

Speaking of Jets… Fun tid-bit… Former Jets GM Mike Maccagnan wanted to wait for a QB in 2018 instead of drafting one in 2017. The QB he passed on?

NHL -

Stanley Cup Champions -
Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Lightning on earning this years honor to hoist Sir Stanely’s Cup! Congrats on taking out the Dallas Stars.

NBA -

NBA Finals - Unless you have been living under a rock you all know that the NBA Finals have the Lakers v Heat. Game 1 of the series took place a couple days ago, and let me tell you … The Lakers came to sweep! They started off slow trailing by as much as 15 in the 1st quarter, but then flipped the switch and had a dominant showing. They were DEFINITELY not going to let game 1 go this time. I dont think the Heat were ready for the kind of fire that Labron and AD… and Caruso were laying down! Analysts are/were predicting a 120 - 104 Win for the Lakers. Lakers wore the black mamba jerseys.

MLB -
Dodgers World Series Champion and Angles Legend Jay Johnstone passed away this week at the age of 74 from complications stemming from complications from Covid 19. Known as Baseballs Prankster, Jonstone helped both the Dodgers and the Yankees win World Series. His daughter revealed that he had been suffering from dementia the last couple of years. Never thought that Covid would be the thing to take her father when he was so strong.
I had an opportunity to meet at talk to Jay on 2 occasions including getting a chance to sit down and talk with him at Frank and Sons while getting a Bat autographed. I remember so many people walking by his small table trying to get tickets for Andre Eithier and Matt Kemp. I happen to walk by and notice his name plate on the table and mentioned that I had just gotten a baseball signed by him at Angels Stadium a week before for the 50th anniversary. He asked if I would want anything else autographed, I asked him to wait a few moments. Went and picked up a baseball bat and went back to his table, he asked me to sit down with him while he signed it. As people watched us walk by, I saw a few people asking themselves who he was. I jokingly said oh.. He is just 2 Time World Series Champion Jay Johnstone, played with the Yanks, Dodgers and Angels. He actually chuckled a bit signed 2 time WS Champ 78 and 82. People started crowding around the table and asking for autographs after that. I took a photo with him, I have since lost that photo but I will always remember him smiling when i recognized him and his kindness for having me sit down with him while he signed my bat. Rest at ease sir, rest at ease Heaven has a new prankster and angel in its ranks.

Bob Gibson
Hall of Fame Cardinals pitcher Bob Gibson died at age 84 after battling pancreatic cancer for more than a year.

MLB Playoffs -
The Rays and the Yanks are set to square away, with the matchup many are waiting for Houston ASStros.. Asterisks.. Cheaters play the Oakland A’s. Hopefully the A’s Shut down the ASStros, especially with Carlos Correa coming out and saying “I know a lot of people are mad. I know a lot of people don't want to see us here, but what are they going to say now?”
I know everyone is going to be looking for the A’s to shut them down. Noone from the AL Central made it out of the Wild Card games.
The Dodgers sent the Brew-Crew home with an outstanding performance by Walking future HOFer Clayton Kershaw was on the mound. Kersh was immaculate on the mound, walking a batter in the 8th inning. At which point the coaches started scrambling to see who they would send in there. Roberts waved at pitching coach to go out to talk to Kersh on the mound, Kersh then waved him off saying no several times while smiling and waving him off. Kershaw then Picked off the Runner at first and struck out the last batter to end the 8th. JomBoy has a great video of the 8th inning. https://www.youtube.com/?v=watchKJFlrBKDyBk
The Dodger will meet the Padres in the Divisional series … And honestly ... The dodgers are on FIRE and I think they will make quick work of the Padres.
Per JomBoy… He thinks the Yankees are headed to the WS with the Dodgers, but the Padres are starting to heat up! We shall have to see what all happens this coming week.

Predictions:

Dodgers vs. Padres

Marlins vs. Braves

ASStros vs. A’s

Yankees vs. Rays

MLB has said that they will allow Fans at the World Series and the NLCS. About 11,500 tickets will be available for games at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. MLB has not gotten approval to sell tickets to the ALCS in California. Tickets are already on sale and are starting at $450 a piece.
