This week, I sit down with Madison Anaya as we discuss finding our
purpose, overcoming obstacles, and getting comfortable allowing
ourselves to become who we were meant to be. Madison shares how
she struggled with who she “should” be versus who God was calling
her to be.
Madison discusses how she has sought out community through social media and built
a platform for impact. She tells us how it doesn’t matter whether you’re an introvert or
extrovert, we were all built for community and learning from one another.
Madison had so many great quotes in this episode.
“I wanted to go on this quest of fearlessly chasing my dreams and not letting fear hold
me back to be able to give these tools to other people who may be in the same space
of feeling stuck.”
“Whether you want to be an intern or a CEO, you have to allow yourself the grace to be
a beginner.”
“I knew that God had placed these giant dreams on my heart of what my life could look
like if I started stepping out in faith instead of letting other things hold me back.”
“If your mission is to prove yourself to people, then of course you’re going to have
imposter syndrome.”
Madison shares her 5 tips that she has found to help find purpose every day,
The 5 Areas to finding Purpose Every Day: How can I truly step into who I was
made to be right now and not just when the waters are calm? How can I show up and
be present and appreciate where I’m at right now?
1. IDENTITY: Knowing who I was and who I was going to root myself in when the
storms came.
2. KNOWING YOUR WHY: Why are you giving up your time, money, energy, time
away from family?

3. BEING STRATEGIC WITH MAKING A GAME PLAN : If you aim at nothing, you will
hit it every time. If you can create a game plan for the next 5 steps, you can give
yourself grace needed to be okay with the step you are on in your journey. This will
provide the confidence of knowing that you made it to the step you are on and can
make it to the next step.
4. BE WILLING TO TAKE A RISK: You have to quit letting fear hold you back and step
out in faith.
5. COMMUNITY: While you are chasing dreams and taking risks, the community
element will let you know that there are other people out there that believe in you,
will hold you accountable, and will remind you who you are and why you are doing
this.
