Do you ever feel like you have strayed so far from God that you can never return? Jesus knew that Peter was going to betray Him but He prayerfully envisioned a future when Peter would once again serve Him. Jesus said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32)

Satan wants to destroy your life and "sift you like wheat". Regardless of your past, Jesus wants to be a part of your future.
