Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. God desires that we be mastered by His presence and not by urges or desires. Spiritual Transformation will mean that we are submitting every area of our life to His control. Our appetites - eating habits, financial spending, thought life - will increasingly be mastered by God's Spirit and His values.
