There are many practices upon which we've built our lives. Periodically it's important to re examine our personal truths, even and especially when it comes to our understanding of God. I was raised in an era where God was considered to be a vengeful and punishing deity who levied great pain and suffering on those who disobeyed His Word. Yet to believe in an unforgiving God is to accept a lie for these behaviors contradict His very nature.
