On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is joined by Jeris Johnson, live from Blue Ridge Festival, live from Virginia International Raceway, Virginia.

Jeris returns to the podcast once again after being forced to do a phone interview last year, while covid restrictions were still in place in many parts of the world. Jeris says Blue Ridge is his first true rock festival of the year so far so it feels great to be there.

Jeris and Pipeman talk about the party atmosphere here at Blue Ridge, which continues long into the night as there’s no noise ordinance. Pipeman likens it to the European festivals he has been at where they party hard.

Jeris says he’s looking forward to seeing Tenacious D live at Blue Ridge, particularly for Jack Black. Pipeman talks about how he interviewed Jack Black before and tells us he’s exactly what he seems like. Pipeman also walks about Waka Flocka performing at Blue Ridge, saying the crowd loved it, with Pipeman even saying it was the highlight of the day. Jeris says it’s a little weird to have him here, but alternate culture is alternate culture, so he’s welcome.

Pipeman moves on to speak about how he hates when people box artists and people into genre and how if you listen to one thing you can’t listen to another. He says the US is learning a lot from the European with the mix of genre at festivals.

Finally, Pipeman asks Jeris who he would love to do a song with, to which he answers Slipknot, who have been his idols since he was young, or Korn, who he just got off tour with. He speaks about how awesome it would be to be respected by the legends of music.
