In this episode you and I discover the wisdom - and how to apply that wisdom - of "Rich Dad Poor Day" author Robert Kiyosaki's insight: "A question opens the mind, a statement closes the mind".

One useful affirmation template: "I choose to (action) _________________ so that (benefit) ______________.

Here are 3 suggested affirmations to put Robert Kiyosaki's wisdom to work in your life.

Affirmation 1: I recognize questions can enhance my professional and personal power. Therefor, I choose to incorporate questions daily into my conversations with other people and for my own personal problem solving so that I can be more effective in my everyday life.

Affirmation 2: When I catch myself being self-critical, I will say - preferably out loud if possible - cancel, cancel, cancel that thinking pattern. I will then ask empowering questions that guide me to an accurate assessment of a situation and the creation of empowering options for change if change is needed so I can engage in continuous improvement in the important areas of my life.

Affirmation 3: I choose to engage in conversations with my significant other using questions such as "Where I have I missed the mark over the past week?" "How can I be a better partner in the week ahead so our relationship can even be stronger and deeper?"

Important note:

You must avoid any hint of defensiveness. Listen to what your partner offers you with an open heart and mind. The first time you apply this action your partner will likely be guarded and reluctant to give any critical feedback. Reassure your partner you honestly want to be a better partner and you're willing to listen and make changes toward that goal.

Remember, Affirmations are previews of coming attractions! When your choices align with your heart's desire and your highest good, Affirmations keep you focused

Your self-talk, the words you consistently say within your mind and out loud and the words you say to others, all matter. Questions can gently guide and support you in changing your self-talk to be more honest and more helpful.
