On April 10, 2019, the first image of a black hole taken with the Event Horizon telescope was published. This telescope uses a technique called interferometry to combine the observations of multiple observatories located throughout Earth. In this episode I describe the importance of this discovery within the world of astrophysics and physics in general and I cover in detail what information the image offers us.
