Joe Weiss, an electronic control systems cybersecurity expert, gives us his insight into what may have brought about the latest Presidential Executive Order on securing the national bulk power system and components. This was a huge learning experience for me, as I hope it will be for our friends out there also. There are so many ways our potential adversaries can get to us, that we’ve not done much to mitigate. This latest E.O. is meant to fix a small opening that could cause major failures in our power system.
