Brian Crombie speaks to two guests today to introduce his listeners to to two Canadian companies working hard to solve our pandemic crisis. Medicom making masks and Medicago testing its vaccine.

Guillaume Laverdure, is President and Global COO of Medicom. The pandemic totally disrupted Canada’s over reliance on foreign markets for critical medical supplies. From vaccines, to N95 & surgical masks, gloves, gowns, ecetera. To correct this imbalance, Medicom, a Montreal based manufacturer & distributor has signed a multi year agreement with Ottawa to supply respiratory and surgical masks.
Medicago plans to fill the gaping hole in Canada’s vaccine manufacturing supply. Ottawa’s $173M cash infusion will help the company build a new facility, complete late stage clinical trials of its proprietary plant-based coronavirus vaccine and begin distributing it. Mrs Nathalie Landry, Executive Vice President of Scientific and Medical Affairs joins me.
