One of the more serious issues we have with ourselves that keeps us from having a relationship with God is our past. Now, God tells us to bring our transgressions to him and he will forgive and forget them. But, for some reason, we hold onto our history, specifically the parts that are uncomfortable. This creates a partition between us and God and the relationship we desire and need becomes further and further away from reality.
