WEEK 13 : DAY 4
THE PRICE: ATTENTION

Even the world system knows attention is a price paid, this is why it is said that you PAY attention.
Funny, whether you make the choice or not, as long as you have life, you will pay attention.

So the question isn't whether or not you pay but what or who do you pay attention to? What are you buying with your life? More life or death?

The answer to that lies in what you have been paying to? God or gods.

You can't however lie on the fence because where there is a lack of deliberate choice, is a choice.

For the price of attention is a prize: LIFE or DEATH.

Proverbs 1:29-33
"Because you hated Knowledge
and had nothing to do with the Fear-of-God,
Because you wouldn't take my advice
and brushed aside all my offers to train you,
Well, you've made your bed—now lie in it;
you wanted your own way—now, how do you like it?
Don't you see what happens, you simpletons, you idiots?
Carelessness kills; complacency is murder.
First pay attention to me, and then relax.
Now you can take it easy—you're in good hands."

Paying attention to God is a sure way to have rest. What do i mean by rest? PEACE.

Let me tell you a bit about the Peace of God:- it is undaunted even in storms because it has the potential to stop storms. It is unexplainable but undeniable - an assurance within that makes jest of the facts because of its Truth. The peace of God is indeed a treasure.

Matthew 7:13-14 "Don't look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention.

Is there a shortcut to this? No. It is indeed a long road, this is why it is less travelled. It requires a total attention to experience the benefits already given. To access the Life, there is the Way to be taken and this Way is full of directions, turns and phases - it is an active path that requires light and that light is found only in Him.

I conclude with this:

Romans 8:5-8
Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God's action in them find that God's Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn't pleased at being ignored.

I pray you pay the price of attention to God in your life journey without fail in Jesus name, amen.
