Instant Onboarding gets a lot of attention - but according to WePay co-founder, some of that enthusiasm is a bit misplaced. First, because the real innovation isn’t allowing merchants access to payment services in real time - it’s in dynamically managing the risks associated with them in real time once they’re on the platform. Second, he noted, the idea of “onboarding” for payments capacity - is heading for a major disruption.
