Today: [John 19:] The Suffering of the Cross: In John 19 Jesus is brutalized by Pilate while the mob cries out for His death by crucifixion. Jesus is led to the place of the skull, and His body hangs on the cross to die. Usually, these passages are only read on Easter morning; they are so uncomfortable to consider. A price is being paid for you and I as we look on with Jesus’ mother and the few faithful followers who stare aghast at the unthinkable scene before them.

a few months ago i was given a HS assignment to teach two young couples, at one of their homes, the fundamental of their new creation life as they were getting caught up in confusion of all the christianeze chatter around them. . . in some cases the blind leading the blind. In two weeks they had grasped understanding of who they are in Christ and 3 of them now pray in HS...log story short is that the HSreplaced the deer in the headlight look with a sure look of confidence in their identity. Later in a conversation with the pastors this came up and I was told that because i didn't get his permission was the reason I got shingles of the scalp... i respond with, are you tellig me that because I clearly stepped out ad did the will of God that happened... he said i stepped out of the PERFECT WILL OF GOD by not asking his permission... i was utterly stunned at his response, having known them for 18 plus yrs.
