Now we will see how Antioch figures prominently in Christian history. The apostle Paul began his ministry there. They were first called Christians there. Antioch was where the first concentration of prophets developed that launch Paul into the ministry God called him to. Without Antioch and the events that happened there, Christianity as we know it would be very, very different.
