Leo Stawiarski The Comeback Kid on Capital Club Radio

Join Michael Flock of FLOCK Specialty Finance as he interviews Leo Stawiarski, Jr., a lawyer and veteran entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience in providing both legal and non-legal services to the accounts receivable management industry. He discusses how perseverance, hard work, stress management and diversification were key to his comebacks. In this podcast, Leo tells how he survived the S&L crisis in 1989 and financial crisis of 2008.

Leo is currently President and CEO of LCS Financial Services Corporation and LCS Capital, LLC which are in Centennial, CO. LCS Financial Services focuses on nationwide collection and recovery services with the added benefit of his nationwide network of collection attorneys that he built when he started Codilis & Stawiarski, P.C. in 1988. LCS Capital is a debt acquisition company that purchases and sells charged-off receivables over multiple asset classes.

Leo earned a JD degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He currently serves as a member of ACA International, Receivables Management Association International, The Mortgage Bankers Association, National Creditors Bar Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute and is a licensed attorney in Colorado, Florida, Illinois and Texas.

Here is a glimpse of what Leo shared in the interview:

“…Yes, I didn’t quit. I don’t know; I guess one of my traits is just, I persevere. I really had a meager upbringing with my dad, and we worked awfully hard and he taught me really to persevere.”

“…In my entire career, up to a few years ago, I was in mortgages and after the crisis it’s become apparent that you have to diversify. Companies now have to diversify. It’s not like the old days where you can just do one thing.”
