Dan Ricks is an entrepreneur that specializes in operations, management and technology consulting. Dan has performed executive roles such as CIO and interim CIO for several companies. In 2003 Dan started Bright Water Consulting, LLC (BWC) and continues as it’s President. BWC’s motto is “Your most important projects on time, on budget and at the highest possible quality.” Dan started his career with the Georgia Power Company and then Norrell Corporation. From 1986 – 2000 Dan held a successful career at The Coca-Cola Company implementing improved business processes and technology globally. Afterwards Dan served as Vice President and Business Technology Officer for SunTrust Bank. Throughout his career Dan has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and drive which led him to, following his successful corporate career, start BWC (in 2003). For the past 14-years Dan has been providing C-level Services to corporations nationwide to help those companies improve efficiencies, improve business processes, reduce costs and position themselves to be scalable and sustainable for future growth.
Dan is an executive and business leader with a career consisting of strategic, operational, and tactical experience. Known as “the Problem Doctor” due to his ability to quickly diagnose and resolve problems. Demonstrated success as a business partner focused on building and strengthening teams to lead change.
He is an active member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Project Management Institute Mr. Ricks graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.B.A. degree and earned his M.B.A. degree from Georgia State University. He has been married for 30 years and has two sons.
