Difficult to pick man of the season, Roby, lomax, Welsby, Lees, Batchelor, Hurrell have all been 100% for me and hardly missed a game. I cant choose between them as they all play different roles and have been great in their individual positions. If you twist my arm - Batchelor
Bennison - waht a prospect for the future - fearless, fast and can tackle, puts a bit of weight on and will give the coach a few headaches. I hope Hopate recovers - we will see how he gets on in the World Cup, what do we do if he breaks down with his hamstring again ?? When he is playing well, he is good.
Lees has improved cosiderably in his speed, breaks, gametime and defence. He was very impressive on Saturday. Dont forget he had a year after surgery for an unusual injury. Walmesley spoke highly of him after the game
Wonderful evening with a fully commited team for 80 minutes, one of our best performances for months. I didnt think we were ever out of control of the game and Leeds defence kept them in it. Their second try came when Percy and Hopoate went off and we had robes and welsby covering the left side, their first attack there resulted in a score before we got set. Their first try came from our error in their half with missed tackle in the last minute of the first half. Overall Leeds can be pleased with their turn-around this year. Many lads could have taken MOM, but im sure we will come to that later.
