Mistaking Postnatal Depression for Borderline Personality Disorder - It's more common than you might think.

Borderline Personality disorder comes with a lot of stigma. Yet Dr Anne Sved-WIlliams began to see themes from many of the new mothers who were coming into her treatment centre for Post Natal Depression and Anxiety and a bell went off. Together with a team from Helen Mayo House in South Australia, they looked closer and discovered many of the mothers showed traits of this mental illness which was being misdiagnosed as Post Natal Depression. After a number of years they developed a program for women that has just run it’s pilot program to outstanding success. Here Kimberley Lipschus finds out more from our guest Dr Anne Sved Williams.
