Evengeline
Lovesong with many renditions that became sort of an hymn for the Acadians. It tells the story of a young woman losing her lover to the Acadian's Repulsion when the British conquered Acadia and deported men of fighting age. She finds him by chance during old age but only moments away from him dying.
