I was born in the small Northern New Jersey town of Englewood. My family and I were consistent church
attendees. My father was a church musician and can’t ever remember music not being apart of his life.
My father’s influence along with other musicians and Gods gifting helped develop my passion for music.
My start in music began at 5 yrs old. In church you’d see me strumming an acoustic guitar when the
music was playing, but after the music stopped and preaching began I went to sleep.
Englewood is filled with well-known talent from Silvia Robinson to Dizzy Gillespie. It was with these
influences, along with others that peaked my interest in music more. My start in music production began
in the early 90’s, it was by this time I was playing multiple instrument. From drums, keyboard, organ, bass
guitar and that guitar that was my sleeping pill on Sunday mornings when the preacher would preach,
was my thing.
By the mid 90’s I had produced and been a part of countless projects from Hip-hop, R&B, Latin and
Gospel music. I also graduated then and went on to study music technology at The Institute of Audio
Research in Manhattan. Upon finishing the program among other freelance projects, I was ready to
proceed with my career.
As life happens things progress and continue and eventually I was a grown man and had a family. My
wife Diane and I married in 2002 and our 3 children (1 grandson) continued doing life right along with my
music. Still having passion for music I began to create music for myself this time with me as the artist.
Currently I still work on projects for myself and others. I love music in all genres, as for music is an
expression of the heart and to pigeon hole it to only one specific genres seem incomplete. Every skill I
have is contributed to being free to express myself with what I hear. Whether I’m writing for a project;
music or lyrics that’s my approach. As long as the message is clear and it’s pointing to a positive
prospective, I’m staying true to the muse.
Fast forward up to today, I’ve been blessed to meet a group of guys that’s true to themselves and God.
Gabriel Oree and Edward Johnson, Jr., owners of Timeless Sounds, LLC and I have connected on
numerous occasions from touring with our music and now to the single Let’s Talk about Us. It’s a love
song dedicated to my wife and all married couples.
